4 Teens, 1 Adult Arrested in Major Drug Bust with 12 Pounds of Marijuana, Guns, and More

Significant operation led by the Lafayette Police Department Narcotics Unit (LPDNU) and supported by the Lafayette Police Department SWAT Team, five individuals—four teenagers and one adult—were arrested on Tuesday. The arrest took place following the execution of a search warrant in the 300 block of Guilbeau Road.

During the operation, authorities recovered a substantial cache of illegal substances and firearms. The haul included over 12 pounds of high-grade marijuana, valued at approximately $110,190 on the street. In addition, officers seized 713 milliliters of Promethazine/Codeine, a mixture often associated with illegal drug use.

The firearms seized in the bust were notably diverse and included an AK-47 rifle, three AR-15 style pistols, and three handguns. The operation also resulted in the confiscation of various drug paraphernalia.

All five suspects were arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, facing charges related to drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat drug-related crime and ensure community safety.
