Tragedy struck on Saturday evening as a Pittsfield man lost his life in a fatal single-car crash in Hinsdale. The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Ryan Griffin, a resident of 109 Wendell Ave. The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office confirmed the identity on Monday.
According to a spokesperson for the DA’s Office, Griffin was being pursued by Dalton Police officers who suspected he was operating his vehicle under the influence. The chase, tragically, ended in a devastating accident.
