President Joe Biden is under scrutiny following the disclosure of documents indicating that his youngest daughter, Ashley Biden, currently holds an outstanding income tax debt amounting to $5,000, dating back to 2015.

Fox News reported on Monday, December 18, 2023, that Fox News Digital obtained a tax lien docket, bringing to light this financial matter and casting a fresh spotlight on the Biden family’s economic affairs.

The tax lien, a legal claim resulting from unpaid taxes, was issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue in Philadelphia County on December 1, 2023. The notice explicitly asserts that the unpaid tax, along with accrued interest, additions, or penalties, stands as a lien in favor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the taxpayer’s property—whether real, personal, or both.

This outstanding tax obligation covers the period starting from January 1, 2015, during Joe Biden’s vice-presidential tenure, extending through January 1, 2021, just before he assumed the presidency.

Garrett Ziegler, founder of the nonprofit organization Marco Polo and a former aide to Donald Trump, voiced his concerns in an interview with Fox News Digital. Ziegler criticized Biden for what he sees as a contradiction between the President’s public discourse on the responsibility of affluent individuals to pay their fair share and the apparent tax challenges faced by both of Biden’s children.

While acknowledging that Ashley’s case is not comparable to her brother Hunter’s more extensive controversies, Ziegler underscored the significance of prudence, particularly for the first family.

“The scale is not anything like Hunter, but… Joe is constantly talking about how wealthy and connected people do not pay their fair share and can’t afford to pay more, and it just so happens that both of his living children did not pay their taxes,” Ziegler remarked.

Ziegler, known for founding the website BidenLaptopMedia.com, which contains controversial photos from Hunter’s laptop, claimed that the discovery of Ashley’s tax lien was part of routine research conducted in the Philadelphia County courthouse system.

Despite his association with a website critical of the Biden family, Ziegler emphasized that he and his team are not Republican activists. “So this is not a hit job. We’re going to keep all the photos that paint the Bidens in a good light and keep all the photos that paint the Bidens in a bad light,” he noted.

“The American people can judge for themselves what they think about their first family through this.”
