Gwinnett County, Georgia – A desperate search continues for a 14-year-old girl who disappeared over a week ago, leaving her family deeply worried. Nevaeh “Ashley” Bell’s family suspects she may have met someone online, intensifying their concerns with each passing day.
According to her family, Ashley finished her freshman exams at Parkview High School on May 24 before leaving the premises. However, her whereabouts since then remain unknown.
Described as quiet and somewhat antisocial, Ashley’s sudden departure without warning is highly unusual, her father, Remon Bell, stated. He mentioned that Ashley typically leaves school with her older sister, but on that day, she left thirty minutes earlier.
Speaking about their efforts to gather information, Remon said, “We talked to her friends, and they say she talked the same way that day, acted the same way. The majority of them received texts from her starting at 6 a.m. that morning on the way to school until after 9 o’clock, when all the texts suddenly stopped.”
Based on their investigation, the family believes that Ashley may have been communicating with someone through an app and formed a friendship, which eventually led her to leave unexpectedly. Remon revealed that they were able to locate Ashley’s phone in Morrow on Friday, but it has been turned off ever since.
The Gwinnett County School District’s Police Department has confirmed that they are actively investigating the case. Meanwhile, Ashley’s family remains determined to find her and ensure her safety.
“We’re going to search every single day. Her family is going to search for her every single day until she comes home,” Remon emphasized.
Ashley was last seen wearing brown pants and a white shirt paired with black and white Converse shoes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately.
The community joins Ashley’s family in their quest to locate her and hopes for her safe return.
