Known for his direct questioning of Trump during the 2020 election, Karem expressed skepticism about Trump’s prospects as the GOP’s nominee in the upcoming elections.

“I remain unconvinced that Donald Trump will be on the ballot next November, and so I’m holding onto that,” Karem asserted, reaffirming his previous prediction.

Injecting a touch of humor into his analysis, Karem envisioned an unconventional scenario where Trump could find himself on Alcatraz, the infamous island prison, complete with a two-hole golf course and a daily stint in an orange-suited cage for tourists’ photo opportunities.

Despite media speculation suggesting that Trump relishes the attention resulting from states barring him from the ballot, Karem presented a different perspective.

Contrary to the belief that Trump enjoys the situation, Karem suggested that the legal setbacks are deeply unsettling for the former president.

“I know it scares the living crap out of him, but at the same time, Maggie Haberman in the New York Times said she believes he’s happy with this decision. I don’t think he’s happy with this decision,” Karem asserted.

“I think he’s scared to death of this decision. I think he’s scared to death of all the decisions that go against him, and I think he’s in panic mode.”

Karem delved into his observations of Trump’s mindset, dating back to his time as a White House reporter.

According to Karem, he discerned early on that Trump had a plan to retain power regardless of the electoral outcome.

“So, you kind of knew what was going on right then—the understanding that there was always a conspiracy to stay in office. If you didn’t know it that day, then I think you’re pretty dense. I mean, he kind of telegraphed everything,” Karem explained.

The former White House reporter highlighted the financial implications of Trump’s legal battles, suggesting that despite the apparent financial gain, Trump is far from content with the decisions.

Karem’s perspective contrasts with reports claiming that Trump might view these legal battles as lucrative opportunities. “I think he’s scared to death of this decision. I think he’s scared to death of all the decisions that go against him, and I think he’s in panic mode,” Karem emphasized, shedding light on what he believes is the true emotional state of the ex-president.
