Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani made this plea, emphasizing the need for the Supreme Court to address the inconsistent rulings across the country on this crucial matter.
The call for intervention follows Maine’s decision to remove Trump from the 2024 presidential primary ballot, citing allegations that he played a role in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.
Rahmani, now president of the West Coast Trial Lawyers law firm, stressed the constitutional significance of the issue, particularly focusing on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, aimed at barring those involved in insurrection from holding federal office.
