Former aide to Melania Trump, Stephanie Grisham, has disclosed the former first lady’s response to the ongoing hush money trial involving her husband, Donald Trump.
During a segment with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Grisham discussed the recent courtroom admission by David Pecker, the ex-publisher of the National Enquirer, raising questions about the possibility of more compromising information about Donald Trump surfacing.
Grisham, who worked closely with Melania Trump as her chief of staff and press secretary, assured Burnett that the former first lady is closely following the coverage, particularly intrigued by the mention of Pecker’s private email, given her preference for concrete evidence.
“Melania is very much about proof, show proof,” Grisham stated, suggesting that any new revelations could be significant if they provide written corroboration of claims that Donald Trump has consistently denied.
Addressing rumors that Melania Trump had privately denounced the trial as a “disgrace” and an act of election interference, Grisham countered these claims, asserting Melania Trump’s independence and forthrightness.
Grisham also addressed Melania Trump’s recent social media promotion of her new $245 “Love & Gratitude” necklace, expressing skepticism about the possibility of the funds being allocated for Trump’s legal defense.
“So, I try not to laugh at the thought that she would be raising money for his defense. I’m so sorry, that’s absolutely not going to be it,” Grisham said.
Instead, Grisham suggested that Melania Trump’s entrepreneurial efforts are self-motivated, though she recommended that the profits could be better served if donated to charitable causes.
The former first lady’s reaction to the trial and her recent actions have drawn significant attention amid the ongoing legal proceedings involving her husband.
