Drake has broken his silence after Kendrick Lamar appeared to take a shot at his alleged 11-year-old daughter and son, Adonis, in a new song. The Canadian rapper took to Instagram Live to address the lyrics that many interpreted as a jab at his family.

In the song, titled “Family Ties” by Baby Keem featuring Kendrick Lamar, Lamar raps, “Smokin’ on top fives, motherf*** that album, f*** that single / Burn that hard drive (Burn that s***), ain’t nobody safe.” While he doesn’t mention Drake by name, many fans speculated that the lyrics were aimed at him.

Drake responded to the apparent diss during an Instagram Live session. “I ain’t gonna lie, I’m just sitting around waiting for it to stop,” he said. “It’s cool. I’m enjoying all the different interpretations of the verse, and I’m just sitting back, watching the show, you know?”

However, one line from the song particularly caught Drake’s attention. Lamar raps, “Sheesh, it’s a lotta bad things / That they wishin’ and wishin’ and wishin’ and wishin’.” This line led many fans to believe that Lamar was referring to Drake’s alleged hidden daughter.

During his Instagram Live, Drake addressed this speculation. “I woke up today in a frenzy,” he said. “I didn’t know what to do, so I just hopped in the car and I went to go see my son. I just felt like I needed that love, you know?”

Drake has kept his son, Adonis, largely out of the public eye since revealing his existence in 2018. However, he has occasionally shared glimpses of his life as a father on social media.

As for Lamar’s apparent diss, Drake seemed unfazed. “I mean, it’s love,” he said. “I love that.”

The feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has been ongoing for years, with both rappers taking shots at each other in their songs. However, it seems that Drake is taking the high road this time, choosing to focus on his family rather than engage in a public feud.
