Gia, born in April 2023, joins De Niro’s expansive family, which includes six children: Drena, Raphael, twins Julian and Aaron, Elliot, and Helen Grace. However, amidst the joy, the family also faced profound tragedy with the loss of De Niro’s grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, in July 2023.

Expressing deep sorrow over Leandro’s passing, De Niro mourned, “I am deeply distressed by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo.” The tragedy sheds light on the harsh realities of addiction, as Leandro reportedly succumbed to a fatal combination of drugs.

In celebrating Gia’s milestones and grappling with the pain of loss, Robert De Niro’s journey through fatherhood remains a poignant reminder of life’s intricate tapestry, woven with moments of joy and sorrow. Through it all, his unwavering love for his children shines brightly, illuminating the depths of paternal devotion.
