Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, made a notable return to the red carpet on Saturday, July 20, marking their first appearance since the dismissal of Alec’s involuntary manslaughter trial. The couple attended a screening of War Game at the Hamptons International Film Festival’s “SummerDocs” series in New York.
For their evening out, Alec, 66, opted for a classic look with a navy blazer over a blue button-down shirt and gray slacks. He was seen holding onto Hilaria, 40, who dazzled in a pink sleeveless dress.

This public outing comes shortly after Alec Baldwin faced involuntary manslaughter charges related to the fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021. Baldwin had been accused of firing the gun that resulted in Hutchins’ death, although he has consistently denied pulling the trigger or knowing the weapon was loaded.
On July 12, a judge dismissed the manslaughter charges against Baldwin, citing that prosecutors had concealed evidence potentially relevant to the case. “There is no way for the court to right this wrong,” said First Judicial District Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer, announcing the case’s dismissal with prejudice.
Following the ruling, Alec Baldwin expressed his gratitude to supporters via Instagram, stating, “There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now. To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family.”

Throughout the trial and its aftermath, Hilaria Baldwin has been a steadfast supporter of her husband. In June, she reflected on their 12-year marriage on Instagram, expressing her appreciation for Alec and their family. “Happy 12 years of marriage, Alec… We hang on tight… hold on to family and friends to source our comfort and energy,” she wrote. “How lucky am I to have you and our children, Alec. Your kindness is a gift that we will forever treasure.”
This red carpet appearance signifies a return to public life for the Baldwins after a challenging period.
