Marvel’s “Deadpool & Wolverine” has reclaimed the No. 1 spot at the box office, marking a triumphant return after being briefly dethroned by “Alien: Romulus.” The film, which is now in its fourth week of release, pulled in an impressive $4.8 million on Friday, according to The Numbers.

With this latest box office boost, “Deadpool & Wolverine” has surpassed $1.154 billion in worldwide revenue. This milestone places it as the eighth highest-grossing superhero movie of all time, as noted by Collider.

In a close second, the sci-fi horror flick “Alien: Romulus” earned $4.5 million on its opening day. The film, starring Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson, has already made significant strides, crossing $50 million in domestic earnings within just one week of its release, as reported by ScreenRant. The movie, which had an $80 million production budget, is setting the stage for a strong box office performance.

Meanwhile, the romantic drama “It Ends With Us,” based on Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel, held steady at No. 3 with $3.825 million in revenue. Despite the buzz surrounding reported tensions between stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the film continues to perform well. Baldoni, who directed the movie, hinted at a potential sequel, though he remains focused on the present success of the film.

In fourth place, Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut, “Blink Twice,” featuring her fiancé Channing Tatum, earned nearly $2.9 million. The psychological thriller, described by The Post as “a captivating, freaky private island thriller,” has garnered attention for its unique storytelling and intense atmosphere.

Rounding out the top five, the biblical drama “The Forge” grossed $2.425 million. A sequel to the 2015 film “War Room,” this latest installment from the Kendrick Brothers has been praised as their “most complete and polished work” by the Washington Times.

As the box office continues to shift, “Deadpool & Wolverine” demonstrates its staying power, while new releases like “Alien: Romulus” and “Blink Twice” vie for audience attention in a competitive market.
