Jesse Watters, the Fox News host, stirred controversy with comments suggesting that his wife voting for Kamala Harris would equate to infidelity. During a recent discussion on The Five, Watters expressed that if he discovered his second wife, Emma DiGiovine, was secretly supporting Harris, it would signal “D-Day” for their marriage.

Watters’ comments came while analyzing an ad narrated by actress Julia Roberts, which encourages women to vote for Harris, even if it means deceiving their husbands. Watters highlighted the ad, saying, “The Kamala Harris campaign hired Julia Roberts to encourage women to lie to their husbands about voting for Kamala.”

He elaborated, “If I found out Emma was going to the voting booth and pulling the lever for Harris, that’s the same thing as having an affair. That violates the sanctity of our marriage. What else is she keeping from me? What is she lying about?” His passionate remarks were met with interjections from his co-host, Jeanine Pirro, but he maintained his stance, declaring, “It’s over, Emma! That would be D-Day!”

A Look Into Watters’ Personal Life

Jesse Watters married Emma DiGiovine, a former associate producer on his show Watters World, in January 2020. Their relationship has been under scrutiny, especially since Watters previously admitted to cheating on his first wife, Noelle, with DiGiovine in 2017. He divorced Noelle after a decade of marriage in 2019.

Michelle Obama Weighs In

In a related context, Michelle Obama addressed women voters at a rally for Harris in Michigan. She encouraged them to prioritize their own beliefs over those of the men in their households. “If you are a woman who lives in a household of men that don’t listen to you or value your opinion, just remember that your vote is a private matter,” she stated. Obama emphasized the importance of voting for what is best for oneself and for women in general, highlighting how such decisions could impact the election’s outcome.

Julia Roberts’ Role

Roberts’ ad for Harris reinforces the idea that women should feel empowered to vote according to their convictions. “In the one place in America where women still have a right to choose, you can vote any way you want and no one will ever know,” she declares in the video, aiming to inspire women to take control of their voting decisions.
