Trump Reveals Why He Might Run for a ‘Fourth’ Term — and It’s Infuriating

President Donald Trump is once again raising eyebrows with bold statements about his future in office, claiming that if he decides to run again, it wouldn’t be a “third term” – it would actually be his “fourth.” Yes, you read that right.

In a recent interview with NBC News, Trump doubled down on his previous remarks, asserting that he’s “not joking” about the possibility of running for office in 2028. While the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment clearly limits presidents to two terms, Trump insists there are “methods” that could make it happen. He even argued that the 2020 election was “rigged,” positioning his potential run as a fourth term rather than a third.

During a flight back to Washington, D.C., Trump elaborated further. When asked if his comments meant he planned to stay in office beyond January 20, he clarified, “I’m not looking at that, but I’ll tell you, I have had more people ask me to have a third term, which in a way is a fourth term because the other election was totally rigged.” He went on to state that he doesn’t want credit for the second term, implying that Biden’s presidency was a failure and that it’s the reason people want him back.

Despite his repeated claims that the 2020 election was rigged, there is no evidence to support these allegations. Nonetheless, Trump continues to insist that his popularity is a direct result of the current administration’s missteps.

When questioned further on Air Force One, Trump dodged the reporter’s inquiry about whether running for a third or fourth term was an appropriate precedent. Instead, he reiterated that many “people” want him to run again, though he declined to name any of them, as is his usual approach.

He continued to emphasize that there is still plenty of time before any decisions need to be made. “We have almost four years to go,” Trump said, “but despite that, so many people are saying you’ve got to run again. They love the job we’re doing.”

It seems like we may have a long road ahead of us, and it’s clear that Trump isn’t going to let go of the spotlight anytime soon.
