In a disturbing incident that unfolded around the 2040 block of Northwest 43rd Terrace, a 10-year-old child and a 16-year-old teenager were both critically injured in a shooting that drew a swift and heavy response from local police and emergency teams.
First responders arrived to find the youngest victim — just 10 years old — lying in the middle of the road, suffering from serious gunshot wounds to his leg and back. Not far from him, officers discovered the second victim, a 16-year-old male, also wounded by gunfire.
Due to the severity of their injuries, both boys were immediately designated as Pediatric Trauma Alerts and rushed to a nearby trauma center for emergency care. While officials have not released updates on their conditions, the urgency of the response speaks to the gravity of the situation.
