Reflecting on her journey, Rutter shared, “Becoming a mum has completely changed my perspective. No matter the outcome in Tokyo, coming home to my son Tommy is the ultimate prize.” Despite lingering frustrations from Tokyo, she credits the experience for prompting crucial personal and professional growth, including seeking guidance from a sports psychologist and marrying her long-term partner.

Rutter’s road to Paris has been marked by significant milestones, including securing her quota place early and managing her training schedule around motherhood. “While I would love for Tommy to be with me in Paris, I need to maintain my focus on competition,” she explained. With a swift five-day trip planned to Paris, Rutter remains steadfast in her quest for the one major medal that has eluded her—an Olympic gold.

Joining Rutter in Team GB’s shooting lineup are notable athletes like Seonaid McIntosh and a promising Paralympic team led by Matt Skelton. Their collective efforts aim to showcase British excellence and secure medals at the highest level of international competition.
