Azealia Banks, the outspoken rapper known for her controversial views, has once again publicly affirmed her support for former President Donald Trump. This week, Banks attended Trump’s Wednesday election rally in Doral, Florida, marking her visible endorsement at the event.
Images and videos of Banks at the rally quickly circulated on social media platforms, showing her alongside Miami-based music promoter Jake Inphamous. One notable clip captured Banks posing with Inphamous, underscoring her presence and support at the event.
In her Instagram stories, Banks reshared a photo with Inphamous, captioning it, “Trump invited the gang,” further solidifying her alignment with Trump’s campaign.
Originally from New York, Banks has faced criticism in the past for her outspoken conservative stance and vocal critiques of fellow artists like Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar on social media. Her support for Trump dates back to 2016 when she initially endorsed him for president, only to withdraw her endorsement shortly before the election due to controversies surrounding Trump’s remarks in the “Access Hollywood” tape.
Despite the initial withdrawal, Banks reaffirmed her admiration for Trump after his election victory, declaring on Facebook, “He is my fucking hero right now. I am elated.”
In a recent interview with The Standard in the UK, Banks indicated her intention to vote for Trump again in the 2024 election. She highlighted feeling safer in Florida, where she now resides, citing the prevalent gun ownership among residents.
Banks joins a select group of rappers in endorsing Trump for the upcoming presidential election. Earlier reports by Rolling Stone suggested Trump’s collaboration with Billy McFarland, the disgraced organizer of Fyre Fest, to further engage rap and hip-hop artists in his campaign efforts.
This latest demonstration of support by Banks underscores her ongoing alignment with Trump and her willingness to publicly advocate for his candidacy in the 2024 election.
