In an interview on MSNBC on Tuesday evening, Pelosi passionately implored Republican voters to reclaim their party, emphasizing the importance of a strong and responsible political opposition. “Take back your party, the Grand Old Party, a great party that made such a contribution to our country,” Pelosi said. “Who am I to be advocating for a strong Republican Party? But it’s what our country needs, in addition to a strong Democratic Party.”
Pelosi’s comments came in response to the internal turmoil within the Republican Party, amplified by the influence of Trump and his staunch supporters.
