Jason Galanis, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, disclosed from federal prison in Alabama on Friday that he witnessed a significant encounter in 2014 where then-Vice President Joe Biden allegedly made an intriguing remark to Yuri Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow, and his wife, Yelena Baturina.
Galanis asserted that during a phone conversation at a party in southern Brooklyn, Biden advised the Russian couple to “be good to my boy,” as reported by Newsmax on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Serving a sentence since 2020 for his role in a multimillion-dollar scheme to defraud an American Indian tribe, Galanis provided detailed testimony to the House impeachment inquiry, recounting the incident on May 4, 2014.
“I was present when Hunter Biden called his father on a cell phone and put the call on speaker,” Galanis asserted, noting the presence of Yelena Baturina, an investor in Rosemont projects, her husband Yuri Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow, and Devon Archer during the call, as reported by The New York Post.
Galanis detailed how the group gathered in a designated area of a restaurant in anticipation of Hunter Biden’s call to his father. When the call was established, Galanis claimed that Hunter put it on speakerphone, informing his father that he was with friends who wanted to greet him.
“The vice president said ‘hello’ and exchanged pleasantries such as ‘Hope you had safe travels,’ and then seemingly indicated a desire to conclude the call by saying, ‘OK then, you be good to my boy,'” Galanis recounted.
Hunter Biden affirmed that “Everything is good, and we are moving ahead.” The vice president made a remark about ‘being helpful,’ and Hunter concluded the call by mentioning his intention to call his father later.
The White House has not issued a response to Galanis’s assertions, which also include claims regarding the president’s alleged involvement in business dealings with China and Ukraine.
In partial support of Galanis’s narrative, evidence from Hunter Biden’s laptop indicated his attendance at a birthday party at the Romanoff Restaurant on May 4, 2014, celebrating the daughter of Alex Kotlarsky, believed to have recruited Archer and Hunter Biden for positions on the board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings. The revelations add another layer to the intricate web surrounding the Biden family’s international engagements.
