Dave Grohl, the iconic frontman of the Foo Fighters, is shifting his focus from divorce proceedings to family reconciliation after the arrival of a secret baby. Sources have revealed that Grohl is eager to repair his relationship with his wife, Jordyn Blum, emphasizing his commitment to their family.
Initially, Grohl, 55, sought the help of a divorce attorney shortly before announcing in September that he had become a father to a new baby with another woman. However, recent insights indicate a change in his approach. An insider disclosed to PEOPLE, “He’s no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife.”
Despite both Grohl and Blum, 48, being seen without their wedding rings recently, the musician expressed a desire to “move forward together” following the surprising announcement of their new child.
Another source underscored Grohl’s deep love for his family, which includes Blum and their three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10. The source stated, “Dave’s been prioritizing his family. He knows he messed up. It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.”
In a statement released in September, Grohl committed to being a supportive parent to his new daughter while simultaneously working to mend his relationship with Blum and their older children. He expressed, “I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
While the couple has yet to publicly discuss their marital status, sources have indicated that Blum has been aware of the new baby for some time. Blum, a co-founder of an interior design firm, is described as a devoted mother who is fully committed to her daughters.
As for the Foo Fighters, the band has put their touring plans on hold. They recently withdrew from a scheduled appearance at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on September 29, with Jack White taking their place.
