Washington, D.C. – Micki Witthoeft, the mother of Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran who was killed during the events of January 6, found herself under arrest on Tuesday evening after an altercation with an Antifa organizer outside the Washington, D.C. jail where January 6 defendants are being held.
Witthoeft had organized a vigil for the political prisoners near the D.C. jail when Metropolitan Police officers apprehended her around 6:45 pm. Footage captured by attendee Helena Gibson, an advocate for January 6 defendants, shows Witthoeft being handcuffed and placed into a police vehicle.
The incident took place during a Memorial Day march from the Capitol to the D.C. jail, held in support of the January 6 defendants. Witthoeft and a small group of demonstrators carrying American flags were confronted by the Antifa organizer, known as “Anarchy Princess.” The organizer reportedly harassed Witthoeft, chanting derogatory statements about her daughter and engaging in verbal abuse.

Despite the provocation, Witthoeft initially responded by shoving the Antifa organizer. However, the situation escalated further as the organizer continued to provoke the group of January 6 advocates with profanities.
Amid a police presence, Witthoeft took hold of the organizer’s bullhorn and forcefully threw it to the ground. The clash drew attention and was captured on video.

UPDATE: Micki Witthoeft reached out to The Gateway Pundit, informing them that she was arrested but was released in time to participate in the nightly singing of the National Anthem at the D.C. Gulag.
