LEWISVILLE, Texas – A tragic incident unfolded in Lewisville on Wednesday as a teenager was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another teenager. The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Skylar Linson, and the incident occurred in the vicinity of the Raising Cane’s restaurant near the Lewisville High School football stadium.
According to authorities, after the shooting occurred, Skylar Linson was quickly transported to Medical City Denton. Sadly, he was pronounced dead approximately one hour after arriving at the hospital.
The shooter, who is also a teenager, was observed leaving the scene in a vehicle. A vigilant witness followed the suspect and provided the crucial location information to the police. Law enforcement officers initiated a pursuit, which led them into Carrollton, approximately ten miles away from the site of the shooting. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody.
