Latest episode of Bill Maher’s podcast, Club Random, the host expressed his less-than-optimistic views on Taylor Swift’s relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce. Maher, known for his candid commentary, discussed the pair’s romance with Hailey Welch, the viral “Hawk Tuah” girl, revealing his doubts about their future together.
During their conversation, Maher admitted he preferred Taylor Swift’s earlier country music era. “I liked her more when she was country,” Maher said, a sentiment Welch seemed to agree with.

The discussion then shifted to Swift’s relationship with Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. Maher critiqued the couple’s dynamic, suggesting it seemed juvenile. “Look, I’m sure she’s a lovely person, but the whole thing with the football player, I just feel like 35 is a little old to be like, ‘my boyfriend’s a football player! and I wear his jersey to the game with his number on it,'” Maher explained.
Welch remained diplomatic, offering a neutral response: “Whatever makes her happy, if that’s what she wants to do, if that’s what makes her happy, go on. It ain’t got nothing to do with me.”

However, Maher’s skepticism didn’t end there. He boldly predicted the relationship’s demise. “I know he’s gonna dump her though, you know that?” he said. “With her, it’s like the Gatorade at the Super Bowl, you know you’re gonna get dumped. You just don’t know when.”
Welch, looking for a silver lining, suggested that a breakup could lead to a highly anticipated new album. “But you gotta think about it this way, if he does that can you imagine the next album we’re gonna get off of that?” she mused. “It won’t be f–k John Mayer anymore; it’ll be f–k Travis,” she added, referencing Swift’s past songs about her ex-boyfriend John Mayer.
Despite Maher’s pessimism, Swift and Kelce’s relationship appears to be going strong. The romance began a little over a year ago when Kelce spoke publicly about attending Swift’s concert and gifting her a friendship bracelet with his number.
