Indianapolis, IN – A tragic shooting early Saturday morning has left one woman dead and another injured on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The incident, which occurred in the 4100 block of Edgemere Court, has prompted a thorough investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
Police responded to a disturbance call just before 3:30 a.m., finding a woman at the scene with fatal gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, she was pronounced dead on-site. Simultaneously, a second victim arrived at Community Hospital East in a separate vehicle, suffering from gunshot injuries but reported to be in stable condition.
Witnesses observed two vehicles fleeing the area shortly after the gunfire erupted, sparking further interest from law enforcement regarding the circumstances leading to the deadly altercation.
