Rodney Jones’ attorney, Tyrone A. Blackburn, dismissed Combs’ motion as a “billing exercise,” accusing the rapper’s lawyers of attempting to avoid responsibility. Blackburn stated, “It is a weak attempt to fill their pockets before he is indicted,” referencing Combs’ legal history. He added that his filings reflect the facts presented by his clients, not fabricated narratives.
Combs’ Denial and Previous Allegations
Combs’ legal representative, Erica Wolff, firmly denied the accusations, asserting that Jones was “not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked.” Wolff emphasized that the team looks forward to disproving the claims in court.
This lawsuit comes amid a series of legal challenges faced by Combs. In November 2023, he was accused of sexual assault by four women, including his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. Cassie alleged rape and abuse, which she claims led to drug and alcohol addiction.
