During a recent America PAC town hall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, billionaire Elon Musk suggested an unusual solution for managing the U.S. southern border: handing control over to Chick-fil-A. His three-hour talk covered various topics, including colonizing Mars, voter fraud, and the January 6 Capitol riots.
Musk made the Chick-fil-A comment while discussing immigration during the event, humorously stating, “What if we gave our legal immigration job to Chick-fil-A? They are so efficient. They make an amazing chicken sandwich, the chicken sandwiches are epic. And they make a zillion of them and they just get it done.” This offbeat suggestion sparked laughter and intrigue among attendees, showcasing Musk’s penchant for unorthodox ideas.
The town hall featured a mix of audience questions and Musk’s freewheeling thoughts. One audience member, a first-time voter, inquired about Trump’s refusal to accept the 2020 election results, leading to a booing from the crowd. Musk initially hesitated but asserted that Trump had called for people to “back down” on January 6, denying that the former president incited violence that day.
Musk also made controversial remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden, labeling Harris as “a puppet” and joking that nobody bothers trying to harm her or Biden, contrasting this with alleged attempts on Trump’s life.
The day following the town hall, Musk joined other Trump supporters at a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York, which included figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and Hulk Hogan. At the rally, Musk expressed his belief that America could achieve unprecedented greatness under Trump’s leadership. “You guys are awesome, honestly,” he told the crowd, as they chanted his name.
Musk has been a significant financial supporter of Trump, reportedly donating nearly $120 million through his PAC. Trump has hinted at giving Musk a notable role in his administration if he is reelected. Earlier in the campaign, Trump mentioned a “government efficiency commission,” proposed at Musk’s suggestion, which would conduct a thorough audit of the federal government and recommend major reforms.
