Eric Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump, has leveled serious allegations against Democrats, claiming they have subjected his father to ongoing “torture” since the inception of his White House candidacy in 2016.
In a recent appearance on the X22 Report podcast, Eric Trump discussed what he perceives as relentless persecution aimed at his father. Notably, this podcast has faced bans from major platforms like YouTube and Spotify over alleged promotion of QAnon conspiracy theories, as reported by Newsweek on June 24, 2024.
These accusations come amidst a pivotal moment for Donald Trump, who has become the first U.S. president in history to be convicted of a crime. Facing 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records, Trump has steadfastly maintained his innocence, dismissing the investigations as politically motivated attempts to derail his political ambitions.
Eric Trump, who serves as the executive vice president at the Trump Organization, has been a visible figure during his father’s legal battles, including the recent hush money trial in New York. On the podcast, he praised his father’s resilience, describing him as unparalleled in fortitude. “The guy’s got backbone unlike anybody I’ve ever met in my entire life. He’s just been an absolute warrior. But they’re torturing him,” Eric Trump asserted.
According to Eric, the onslaught against his father began immediately after Donald Trump’s famous descent down the escalator to announce his candidacy. He characterized the subsequent legal challenges and impeachments as part of a calculated strategy to undermine his father’s political trajectory. “Ever since he put himself on that stage, they have attacked him absolutely viciously,” Eric Trump lamented, reflecting on the intense courtroom experiences. “I have never seen such corruption in my life.”
Eric Trump didn’t shy away from critiquing Judge Juan Merchan, who presided over the hush money trial, accusing him of bias and unfair rulings favoring the prosecution over the defense. Highlighting a potential conflict of interest involving Merchan’s daughter, who works for a company that raises funds for Democratic campaigns, Eric Trump suggested that these connections influenced the trial’s proceedings.

A point of contention Eric Trump raised was the gag order imposed on his father by Judge Merchan, restricting Trump from publicly commenting on court staff, jurors, and potential witnesses. This order followed Donald Trump’s social media posts criticizing Merchan’s daughter, whom he referred to as a “Rabid Trump Hater.” Eric Trump argued that this gag order unfairly silenced his father while allowing others involved in the case to freely speak out.
Eric Trump views these legal and political maneuvers as part of a larger scheme to tarnish his father’s reputation and obstruct his chances of securing a second presidential term. “You try and bankrupt him, you try and kill his reputation, you try and take out his family, you try to embarrass him, you try and create division. That’s been their plan the entire time,” Eric Trump asserted, accusing Democrats of openly reveling in their efforts.
As of now, the Trump Organization has refrained from providing additional comments on these allegations. The decision on whether to uphold the gag order until Donald Trump’s sentencing on July 11 rests with Judge Merchan, amidst ongoing debate and scrutiny over its perceived fairness.
