The shocking revelation of a bag of cocaine discovered in the White House over the summer has just come to light through recently released photos. The incident unfolded during a weekend when President Joe Biden and his family, including his son Hunter Biden, were away at Camp David in anticipation of the Fourth of July holiday, the very day the illicit substance was found.
An immediate response led to the evacuation of The West Wing and the initiation of an investigation by the Secret Service. The photographs capturing the bag of white powder, found in a cubby hole near the Executive entrance designated for personal belongings, are now being made public.
The gravity of the situation prompted the closure of streets surrounding the White House during the evacuation. Documents indicate the involvement of the Deputy Director of the FBI in the subsequent 11-day investigation.
Despite narrowing the suspect list to 500 individuals, security footage failed to conclusively identify the owner of the illicit substance. The Secret Service eventually closed the investigation, citing a “lack of evidence†as no usable fingerprints were lifted from the small zip-lock bag.
Notwithstanding the lack of concrete evidence, public speculation has swirled around Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, who has a well-documented history with drugs. In a leaked 2018 video, Hunter was seen self-filming while smoking crack at a staggering speed of 172 miles per hour, purportedly en route to Las Vegas. Importantly, neither Hunter Biden nor any member of the Biden family was present in the White House on the day the cocaine was discovered.
Hunter Biden’s previous encounters with controversy, such as arranging for prostitutes and acknowledging an illegitimate child, have fueled public skepticism despite the inconclusive nature of the investigation. The lingering questions surrounding this White House scandal add to the complexities of an already tumultuous political landscape.
