In a shocking revelation, recently unsealed court documents tied to the Jeffrey Epstein case have triggered widespread speculation online, implicating prominent figures, including former U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.
However, Logically Facts, an Irish-based fact-checking entity, has refuted the authenticity of three viral images portraying Donald Trump alongside Epstein. The debunking, released on Friday, January 5, 2024, reveals that these images, fueling allegations of Trump’s association with the disgraced financier, are, in fact, elaborate fabrications.
The images, circulating extensively on social media, depict Trump and his daughter Ivanka standing next to Epstein, Trump and Epstein seated on a couch with a young girl, and another scene with Trump and Epstein on a couch with two girls.
Logically Facts uncovered that these images had undergone manipulation through Artificial Intelligence (AI). A thorough reverse image search brought to light the deceptive nature of the widely circulating photographs.
In the first image, where Trump and Ivanka are seen with Epstein, Logically Facts traced the source to a photo taken in 1993 during the Grand Opening of The Harley Davidson Cafe in New York. Photographer Ron Galella captured the original image, which did not include Epstein. Trump and Ivanka were digitally added to the photo to create the misleading image.
Similarly, suspicions arose when examining the second image, featuring a girl on Epstein’s lap with Trump beside them on a couch. Anomalies such as the absence of Epstein’s legs and peculiarities in his upper body’s positioning hinted at digital manipulation. Further scrutiny of the girl’s left hand suggested AI involvement.
The third image, depicting Trump and Epstein on a couch with two girls, exhibited similar signs of artificial creation. Epstein’s missing legs, distorted hands, and Trump’s seemingly extra fingers collectively confirmed the inauthenticity of the image.
Logically Facts underscored that these images had undergone previous fact-checking, emphasizing the persistent nature of misinformation. The fact-checking report unequivocally establishes the fraudulent nature of the viral images, concluding that they were manufactured through digital manipulation, possibly involving AI tools.
