President Donald Trump’s Patriot Legal Defense Fund was created to tackle his legal battles, but according to The Daily Beast, it seems to have a different agenda. With around $1.6 million in receipts, the fund’s major expense was an extravagant party at Mar-a-Lago, raising eyebrows on its actual purpose.

The report reveals that a hefty $1 million, a significant portion of the fund, came from a couple associated with the QAnon conspiracy theory, leading to echoes of their past fundraiser cancellation due to QAnon ties.

Surprisingly, the fund’s expenditures tell an interesting tale. Out of $28,578 spent, Mar-a-Lago received $18,136 for a banquet hall in November, while Trump adviser Michael Glassner pocketed $2,500 for consulting. Notably absent from the list? Any allocation for Trump’s actual legal fees.

The million-dollar donor, the Caryn L. Hildenbrand Living Trust, linked to QAnon supporters Caryn and Michael Borland, hints at the fund’s curious backing. Meanwhile, Trump faces a legal maze with four trials, including cases in Washington, D.C., Georgia, federal charges related to classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, and a business fraud case by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg involving hush-money payments.
