Fairfield County, S.C. – The Fairfield County Coroner, Chris Hill, has released the identity of the individual involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on I-77 and Hwy 200 in Winnsboro. The victim has been identified as John Thompson, an 80-year-old male.
The incident took place on May 31 in the afternoon and involved two cars. Unfortunately, Thompson sustained blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
