Just days before Halloween, Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director who famously held his role for only 11 days, has delivered two bombshell predictions about the upcoming election. And if he’s right, these insights may cause more than a few sparks—especially for former President Donald Trump.
Appearing on SiriusXM’s The Dean Obeidallah Show, Scaramucci shared that he foresees Vice President Kamala Harris edging out Trump in the tight race. “It’s too close to call,” Scaramucci told Obeidallah. “I think she’s going to win because she’s got the money, the organization, and I think there are more good people in the country.” According to Scaramucci, Harris holds a financial and organizational edge that could ultimately sway the election in her favor.
A Hope for Peace Amid Concerns of Unrest
One of the most significant points Scaramucci made may offer a measure of relief to those concerned about potential unrest following the election results. While some fear a repeat of the violent January 6th Capitol riot, Scaramucci suggests that Trump might avoid calling for any uprising this time around. His reason? The looming legal repercussions Trump faces could temper any post-election provocations.
“If he loses, I don’t believe he will incite any violent revolution because he has a sentencing coming up on November 26th,” Scaramucci explained. The former president’s 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records are set to culminate in sentencing shortly after the election. If Trump fans flames of unrest, Scaramucci predicts, he risks facing immediate jail time. This potential consequence, he argues, will keep Trump from encouraging violence, as doing so would only worsen his legal standing.
Scaramucci’s Take on Trump’s Legal Strategy
In Scaramucci’s view, if Trump publicly rejects defeat without encouraging violence, he might sidestep prison time altogether. “If he says, ‘I’m never going to accept a defeat, but I’m not suggesting violence,’ and he slinks away quietly, they won’t put him in jail,” Scaramucci asserted, adding that the justice system may be reluctant to incarcerate a former president unless he actively incites violence.
The 34 felony charges Scaramucci refers to stem from Trump’s attempts to hide potentially damaging information during his 2016 presidential campaign. Trump’s spokesman, Steven Cheung, however, scoffed at Scaramucci’s analysis, dismissing the former communications director’s comments as irrelevant.
“Nobody is going to listen to someone who barely lasted more time than an expired ham sandwich as White House communications director,” Cheung retorted. However, given Scaramucci’s track record of predictions, many find his words worth considering as the race nears its climax.
