Former President Donald Trump voiced his frustration at a recent rally in Hialeah, Florida, criticizing judges he believes are ruling against him and labeling prosecutions tainted and unfair when an “Obama judge” presides. Trump’s discontent with the judiciary system came to the forefront on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, as he expressed his concerns in a report by Raw Story.

“Let’s say Obama, because let’s not even talk about Biden yet,” Trump remarked, highlighting his displeasure with judges he perceives as politically biased. He elaborated, “But an Obama judge will say ‘You know, I’m proud of it and I don’t care what the merits of this case – you’re in deep trouble.'” Trump contrasted this with his view of Republican judges, stating, “It’s hard to win! Whereas a Republican judge, a lot of them, not all of them, and we just want fairness – but a Republican judge will say ‘I want to show my fairness! So what I’ll do is I’ll screw the Republicans and everyone will think I’m fair.'”

Despite his legal battles, Trump maintained his innocence, appearing baffled at the possibility of facing prosecution. He claimed, “Every time the radical left Democrats, Marxists, Communists, Fascists indict me — they indicted me.” Trump has a history of attacking judges for rulings he disagrees with, including Judge Gonzalo Curiel and Judge Tanya Chutkan, whom he accused of bias based on ethnicity and political affiliation, respectively.

Recently, Trump challenged a limited gag order imposed by Judge Tanya Chutkan, who oversees the 2020 election-related case against him. The order restricts Trump and his legal team from making statements targeting special counsel Jack Smith, his staff, court personnel, and potential witnesses. Despite this restriction, Trump continued to criticize the judge and the case, dismissing it as “fake” and asserting he cannot win an election the fair way.

“We’re not gonna let it get away from it,” Trump assured his followers during the rally. “Every time I’m indicted I consider it a badge of honor because I’m being indicted for you.” The crowd responded with cheers.

Trump’s persistent criticism of the judiciary has raised concerns about the independence and impartiality of the legal system, as well as its potential impact on public confidence in the courts. Despite these challenges, Trump maintains a dedicated following and wields influence over American politics, leaving the nation watching closely as his legal battles unfold.
