Gordon Ramsay, the renowned celebrity chef, has made a surprising revelation about his massive fortune – it’s “definitely not” going to his children.

Despite being a household name with a string of successful restaurants worldwide and hit TV shows like “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares,” Ramsay insists his children won’t inherit his wealth.

The 57-year-old chef shares six children with his wife Tana: Megan, Holly, Jack, Tilly, Oscar, and baby Jesse. With an estimated net worth of around £174.8 million ($220 million), Ramsay’s decision might come as a shock to many.

In a candid interview with the Telegraph back in 2017, Ramsay explained his reasoning behind this decision. He stated that he wants to prevent his children from being spoiled by wealth and ensure they appreciate the value of hard work.

Ramsay revealed that while his children will receive a 25 percent deposit on a flat, they won’t inherit the entire property. He believes in keeping his children grounded and doesn’t want them to become accustomed to luxury, even when it comes to travel.

He mentioned that he avoids letting his children travel in first class, preferring to teach them the value of money and discipline. Ramsay emphasized instilling a strong work ethic in his children from a young age so they understand the importance of earning their own way in life.

This decision reflects Ramsay’s commitment to parenting and ensuring his children grow up with the right values, rather than relying on their inheritance. Despite his immense wealth, Ramsay prioritizes teaching his children the importance of hard work and responsibility.
