Tragic incident reported by People on May 3, 2024, two brothers from Fort Dodge, Iowa, have been accused of murdering their father, Dennis Jones, whose body was found in a rural Webster County ditch with gunshot wounds.
Alec Jones, 26, and Nathan Jones, 21, are facing charges related to the murder, allegedly shooting their father and abandoning his body in the ditch.
The discovery was made by a mail carrier on April 26, prompting an intensive investigation by the Fort Dodge Police Department. Authorities determined that Dennis Jones had not been shot where his body was found, indicating that the body had been moved after the shooting.
This led to a search warrant at the residence where the brothers were living with their father. Subsequently, Alec Jones was charged with first-degree murder, while Nathan Jones faces charges of aiding and abetting first-degree murder.

While acknowledging being at home with her husband and sons on the night of April 25, she claims to have limited knowledge of the events.
