Blanchett turned heads in a unique metallic top designed by Swedish brand Hodakova, crafted from 102 antique spoons. Curtis, meanwhile, opted for a classic red blazer and trousers. As they posed for photos, it became apparent that Blanchett’s outfit had a minor issue—a rip in her pants.

In a display of camaraderie, Curtis positioned herself close to Blanchett, seemingly to conceal the wardrobe malfunction. Entertainment Tonight reported that Curtis’s swift action was aimed at keeping the mishap under wraps. When asked about the situation, Curtis humorously downplayed the drama, saying, “Nothing is going on. You know what is going on? I got her back.”

Blanchett appreciated Curtis’s support, describing her as a “den mother” on set. “On every single movie that Jamie makes, she is a den mother,” Blanchett remarked. This sentiment highlights Curtis’s reputation for being a supportive and caring co-star.

The film Borderlands, set for release on Friday, is based on the popular video game series of the same name. It features Blanchett as Lilith, a bounty hunter who teams up with treasure seekers played by Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Florian Munteanu to rescue a missing arms dealer’s daughter, portrayed by Ariana Greenblatt.

Blanchett expressed her enthusiasm for the game, noting its addictive nature and its strong female characters. She acknowledged the film’s unique and unconventional approach, stating, “It’s its own strange, weird thing, and when you look at the casting, there’s a motley quality to it. We’re a very motley crew, in life and in art. I don’t think anyone would call Borderlands art, but it’s fun.”

Curtis and Blanchett’s red carpet moment exemplifies the strong bond between the two actresses and their commitment to supporting each other both on and off the screen.
