The actress, known for her role as the titular character, disclosed that she “stole a poster of the monster” from the show’s set. The poster featured sketches of the monster character, which Ortega framed and kept as a memento. However, she admitted that she regretted not taking a “Handbook for the Recently Deceased,” a prop book from the series that she admired for its detailed graphics and text. Ortega praised the prop team’s work, calling it “incredible.”

As fans eagerly await the return of Wednesday, little is known about the upcoming second season. Ortega, who returns to the show, initially felt “terrified” about the project, given the time gap since the first season was filmed in Romania a few years ago.

Despite her initial nerves, Ortega found comfort in the process of stepping back into character. “Once you put on the costumes by Colleen Atwood, get your hair and makeup done, and take all the expression out of your face, it’s like, ‘Oh, okay. I know how to do this,’” she said on The Tonight Show.

This season, Ortega will also take on a new role as a producer, giving her input on various elements of the show, including special effects and prosthetics. “It’s so exciting. It’s so much fun, actually,” she shared.

Wednesday Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix in 2025. Fans can catch up on the first season, which is currently available for streaming on the platform.
