Jennifer Aniston, the acclaimed actress and Emmy winner, recently took to Instagram with a passionate message after casting her ballot in support of Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Known for her influential voice both on and off the screen, Aniston urged her followers to vote for values like “sanity” and “human decency” in the upcoming election, hoping to inspire Americans toward unity and empathy amidst a climate of division.

In her post, Aniston highlighted her reasons for supporting Harris and Walz, noting the issues that motivated her vote, from reproductive rights and healthcare access to the pursuit of a fair economy and safer schools. “Hi friends,” she began, “Today not only did I vote for access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy, but also for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY.”

Aniston went on to remind her followers that their voices truly matter: “Please remember that whoever you are and wherever you live, your voice matters. Your VOTE matters.” With the general election only a week away, she appealed to her audience to actively participate and reach out to friends, family, and neighbors. Her hope? An end to what she described as the “era of fear, chaos, and attacks on our democracy.”

The Friends alum expressed her fatigue with today’s polarized political landscape. “I know we don’t agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD aren’t you tired of this negativity towards each other?” she wrote. Calling for an end to intimidation and division, Aniston emphasized the need for respect and collective compassion. “We only have one week until Election Day, so let’s find our way back to each other with respect, common cause, and LOVE.”

Earlier in the year, Aniston also made headlines for her criticism of J.D. Vance, former President Donald Trump’s running mate, over his resurfaced comments from 2021 that disparaged women who have not had children. Expressing disbelief that such views could come from a potential vice presidential candidate, she wrote, “Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day… Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”
