Jodie Turner-Smith has officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated espionage series “The Agency” set to premiere on Paramount+ With Showtime. Turner-Smith will star alongside renowned actors Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, and Richard Gere.
Nina L. Diaz, president of content and chief creative officer for Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios & Paramount Media Networks, expressed her excitement about Turner-Smith’s addition to the cast, stating, “Jodie Turner-Smith is a force who captivates audiences with her raw, emotional power. We are thrilled she is joining our extraordinary cast alongside Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, and Richard Gere.”
The series, based on the French hit “Le Bureau des Legendes,” follows Martian (played by Fassbender), a covert CIA agent forced to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. The plot thickens when Martian’s old flame resurfaces, reigniting romance and entangling his career, real identity, and mission in a perilous game of international intrigue and espionage.
Turner-Smith is set to portray Sami Zahir, a professor of social anthropology with a mysterious past linked to Martian.
Turner-Smith’s recent television credits include her role in the Disney+ series “Star Wars: The Acolyte,” the final season of “Sex Education,” “Anne Boleyn,” “The Last Ship,” and “Nightflyers.” She is also set to appear in the upcoming Apple TV+ series “Bad Monkey.” In film, Turner-Smith is recognized for her roles in “Queen & Slim,” “Murder Mystery 2,” “After Yang,” and “White Noise.” Additionally, she will star in “Tron: Ares,” scheduled for release in 2025.

“The Agency” is currently in production in London, with Jez and John-Henry Butterworth serving as writers and executive producers. Joe Wright is the executive producer and director for the first two episodes. The series also boasts George Clooney and Grant Heslov as executive producers under their Smokehouse Pictures banner, along with Keith Cox and Nina L. Diaz for Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. Additional executive producers include David C.
