Jon Stewart, the host of “The Daily Show,” shared his thoughts on Vice President Kamala Harris’ rapidly gaining momentum in her presidential campaign during the latest episode of his “Weekly Show” podcast.
Stewart was impressed by the energy and enthusiasm at Harris’ recent rally in Atlanta, where Megan Thee Stallion performed, and Harris boldly challenged GOP nominee Donald Trump to a debate.
“Holy shit!” Stewart exclaimed, referring to the packed rally. He noted that the vibrant atmosphere at Harris’ campaign stop is likely to irritate Trump more than any policy disagreement or economic issue.
“It’s the one thing I think that would, more than any policy or any discrepancy on economics or anything else, the thing that would bother Donald Trump the most is a giant arena filled with enthusiastic supporters having a party,” Stewart remarked.
Stewart believes Trump’s main concern now is not the election itself but the size and enthusiasm of the crowds he draws. “I almost think he’d be like, ‘What? Popularity is my thing,’” he added, suggesting that Trump “doesn’t even give a shit about the election anymore, he just wants to be like, ‘My crowd was bigger.’”
