Katie Price took to social media at the start of the week to celebrate her eldest child Harvey’s 22nd birthday with a touching throwback photo.
The 45-year-old model and mother of five shared an adorable vintage photo of herself and Harvey when he was just a young boy. In the snap, Katie, with her long blonde hair, smiles lovingly at her son. The post on Instagram Stories included the heartfelt message: “Happy birthday to my Harvey. Love you sooooo much,” accompanied by two frog emojis and two white heart emojis. She also posted the same photo on her main Instagram grid, calling Harvey “my best friend, my everything” and adding a playful “ribbit ribbit.”
Fans flooded the comments with birthday wishes for Harvey, with one user noting, “This is probably the most beautiful pic of Katie I’ve ever seen.” Despite recent hardships, including financial struggles that led to her eviction from her home, Katie made sure to mark Harvey’s special day with joy and affection.
Harvey, who lives in a residential college in Gloucestershire, celebrated his birthday away from home. Katie is currently fighting to secure continued financial support for Harvey’s education and care at the college, as West Sussex County Council plans to cut funding in June.
On her podcast, Katie explained the bureaucratic challenges she faces, sharing, “Anyone who has a child with needs knows the importance of EHCP forms and statementing to ensure they receive proper education. I’m doing that with Harvey because the government funds his schooling. We’ve appealed the decision to cut funding, and I’m working through that process now.”
Katie has also spoken openly about Harvey’s strained relationship with his father, Dwight Yorke. Harvey, who is blind, autistic, and has septo-optic dysplasia and a learning disability, has not seen his father despite Katie’s efforts to facilitate a reunion. She told the Guardian, “The door is always open. I would love for Dwight to meet Harvey. My mum contacts his manager every year to see if Dwight wants to see Harvey for his birthday, but the answer is always ‘no’.”
Despite these challenges, Katie’s love and dedication to Harvey shine through, making his 22nd birthday a memorable occasion for them both.
