Court filing, Javaughn Young-White, the ex-boyfriend of singer Kehlani, has made alarming allegations about the singer’s involvement in what he describes as a “cult.” Young-White is seeking full custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi, and claims that the group engages in “religious ceremonies” involving their child.
According to documents obtained by multiple media outlets, including People and Entertainment Weekly, Young-White contends that Adeya’s home birth was part of a cult ritual. He asserts that because Adeya was born at home rather than in a hospital, his name was not included on her birth certificate. This omission has fueled his claim that he needs the court to establish paternity to fully exercise his parental rights.
The filing further alleges that the cult leader, known as Neto, has a history of sexual assault accusations against women and young girls. Young-White also expressed uncertainty about whether his daughter even has a Social Security number, highlighting his concerns about her welfare and legal status.
Young-White’s petition includes claims that Neto convinced Kehlani that he, Young-White, was a threat to Adeya, resulting in a ban on his visitation rights. He also asserts that Neto conducts secretive “religious ceremonies” with Adeya, with no witnesses present. The filing describes disturbing scenarios, including a female cult member named “Messiah” bathing Adeya while allegedly under the influence of psychedelic drugs.
The father claims that Kehlani has publicly disparaged him online rather than addressing his concerns privately. In his filing, Young-White requests full custody of Adeya and seeks to have her name changed to Adeya Parrish Young-White. He also demands access to Adeya’s birth certificate and Social Security card.
As this custody dispute continues, the public awaits further statements from Kehlani’s representatives, who have yet to comment on these serious allegations.
