Kylie Jenner is speaking out against the online rumors surrounding her weight loss and use of weight-loss drugs. In an exclusive interview for the September cover of British Vogue, the 27-year-old reality star is calling for “empathy” as she deals with body-shaming and speculation about her post-pregnancy body.
Jenner, who has faced scrutiny for her appearance after her two pregnancies, addressed accusations that she used medications like Ozempic—a diabetes drug that some celebrities have used off-label for weight loss. She expressed frustration over these claims and urged her fans to consider her journey more compassionately.
“I see pictures online and people are accusing me of being on drugs or something,” Jenner said. “It’s disheartening to see such negative comments, especially when I’ve worked hard to return to my pre-pregnancy weight.”
Ozempic, while effective in controlling blood sugar levels, has gained attention as a weight-loss aid, though it often carries a stigma. Celebrities like Amy Schumer and Sharon Osbourne have openly discussed using it, contributing to the debate over its use.
Jenner recounted the physical and emotional challenges of her pregnancies, explaining that she gained 60 pounds with each child. “I was 200 pounds when I gave birth to my babies,” she shared. “After losing the weight from my first pregnancy, I got pregnant with my second child two months later. It’s been a long journey, and people often forget that I had two children in a short span.”
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star, who shares daughter Stormi and son Aire with ex Travis Scott, also opened up about her struggles with postpartum depression. She described the condition as “really hard” and noted that it affected her differently with each child.
“Stormi’s lasted a year,” Jenner said. “With my son, it was more of the baby blues. I was extremely emotional about things that normally wouldn’t affect me.”
Jenner’s comments come amid ongoing speculation and scrutiny about her physical appearance and personal life. She recently confirmed undergoing plastic surgery before her pregnancy with Stormi, a topic she had previously denied.
As she approaches her 27th birthday, Jenner expressed relief at feeling “like myself again” and finding comfort in her role as a mother. “No matter what I’m going through or what people say about me, my kids love me unconditionally,” she shared. “They think I’m perfect, and that’s what really matters to me.”
Jenner, who is currently dating actor Timothée Chalamet, finds solace in the unconditional love of her children. “I don’t need validation from outside sources,” she said. “I have these little humans at home who need me and love me.”
In her candid interview, Jenner seeks to shift the focus from speculation and judgment to a more empathetic understanding of her personal journey and experiences.
