Recent reports from local news outlets have spotlighted former President Donald Trump’s unusual campaign stop at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania, where he interacted with a group of supporters who appeared to be pre-selected. Spectrum News correspondent Angi Gonzalez detailed the event in a broadcast aired across local stations, emphasizing the closed nature of the location during Trump’s visit on Sunday.

During the campaign stop near Philadelphia, Trump made headlines for briefly engaging with a drive-thru group of supporters. However, this interaction raised eyebrows, as the restaurant was not open to the public at the time. In contrast, Vice President Kamala Harris was making headlines of her own, spending part of her weekend addressing congregants at a church in Georgia.

Gonzalez pointed out that while Trump claimed, without evidence, that Harris had never worked at McDonald’s, she had previously shared her experience working there during her early campaign days. This false assertion added to the growing list of controversies surrounding Trump’s statements.

Moreover, Trump’s rally over the weekend featured strong language directed at Harris. He was quoted saying, “We can’t stand you, you’re a sh-t vice president. Kamala, you’re fired, get the hell out of here, you’re fired.” In response, Harris remarked on MSNBC, noting that Trump’s comments reflect poorly on the office he once held, saying, “What you see in my opponent, a former president of the United States, really is, it demeans the office.”
