The incident unfolded when Thomas Matthew Crooks reportedly fired shots towards the former president, causing panic and chaos among attendees. Video footage capturing the moment shows Trump reacting to the gunfire before being shielded by Secret Service agents. Despite sustaining minor injuries, Trump managed to raise his fist to the crowd shortly after the incident, a move that some found perplexing given the circumstances.

HBO’s “Insecure” actor Amanda Seales took to social media to voice her skepticism about the authenticity of the assassination attempt. In a video posted online, Seales remarked, “That s**t was more staged than a Tyler Perry production of Madea Runs for President. I lived in Harlem long enough to know that gunshots do not sound like making popcorn on the stove.”

Seales continued her critique by questioning the presence of blood and Trump’s reaction, suggesting it mirrored theatrics rather than a genuine threat. She speculated, “Where did the blood come from? So in theater, in movies they have what’s called blood pellets… It’s basically a pellet of fake blood that’s in your mouth and when you crush it the blood comes out.”

The actor further hypothesized that Trump’s defiant reaction, raising his fist in the air after the incident, was orchestrated to project strength against perceived political opponents. Seales implied that such a display aimed to contrast Trump’s vigor with Joe Biden’s perceived frailty.

The comments from Seales have ignited a firestorm on social media, with many condemning her remarks as insensitive and irresponsible. Despite the backlash, Seales has not retracted her statements, prompting further debate over the incident’s authenticity and public reactions.

Trump’s aides later confirmed his safety and expressed condolences to the victims of the incident. Investigations into the attempted assassination are ongoing, with authorities piecing together details of the event.
