13-year-old cancer survivor and honorary Secret Service agent isn’t holding back after watching Democrats show open disrespect for Donald Trump during his recent address to Congress. Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel, a young patriot who’s already captured America’s heart, has some choice words for those who refuse to honor the office of the president.
“They make me mad,” DJ told The Post, his voice filled with conviction. “If you’re not going to say something nice, you don’t need to be there. If I were president, I’d stop everything, escort them out, and ban them. My dad says you can’t reward bad behavior.”
DJ, who was personally honored by Trump and even sworn in as an honorary Secret Service agent before the speech, had particularly strong feelings about Rep. Al Green (D-Texas). Green was ejected from the House chamber and censured by fellow lawmakers after his disruptive behavior during Trump’s address.
“[Al Green] embarrassed us. He’s from our congressional district,” DJ said bluntly. “I’d tell him he was very disgraceful and very disrespectful.”
A VIP Moment With Trump
DJ’s journey to Washington, D.C., wasn’t just about witnessing history—it was about making it. After being recognized by Trump as “a young man who truly loves our police,” DJ and his father, Theodis Daniel—a retired Navy veteran—were invited to the Oval Office for a private meeting with the former president.
“As soon as I saw him, I gave the president a big hug,” DJ recalled. “He said he’s proud of me and gave me a signed hat.” But don’t expect to see DJ sporting his new Trump memorabilia anytime soon. “I’m not going to wear it,” he said. “It’s a collector’s item.”
Hanging With the Big Names
While in D.C., DJ had the chance to rub shoulders with some of the most powerful figures in the country—including billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk.
“I was walking around the White House and magically, deliciously ran into Elon Musk,” DJ said, laughing. “He’s a party dude and strictly business. He has the hands to fix America.”
His message for Musk? “Keep doing what you’re doing and keep up the good work.”
No Love for Rachel Maddow
Not everyone in the media was thrilled to see DJ in the spotlight. MSNBC host Rachel Maddow called Trump “disgusting” for highlighting DJ’s battle with brain cancer. But the young survivor had a firm response for her, too.
“If you have nothing nice to say,” DJ shot back, “then don’t say anything at all.”
As for Trump himself? DJ had just one thing to say: “Thank you for saving the United States.”
