NPR and journalist Danielle Kurtzleben are facing serious questions after it was revealed that she was the reporter who struck President Trump in the face with a boom mic during a press Q&A on Friday night. The incident, which remained a mystery for nearly 48 hours, has now been brought to light by investigative journalist Laura Loomer.

During Trump’s press session before boarding Air Force One to Palm Beach, video footage captured the moment a boom mic, commonly called a “dead cat,” made direct contact with his face. While it initially seemed accidental, many are now questioning the circumstances surrounding the event.

For two days, NPR refused to disclose the identity of the journalist involved. However, Loomer identified the reporter as Danielle Kurtzleben, a White House correspondent for NPR with a history of strong anti-Trump views. In fact, Kurtzleben reportedly suggested during the 2024 campaign that Trump chose Howell, Michigan, for a speech due to its alleged historical ties to the KKK.

The incident raises critical concerns:

– Why wasn’t the press conference halted after Trump was struck?
– Why wasn’t Kurtzleben immediately removed, questioned, or suspended?
– Why did NPR stay silent about the involvement of one of their own reporters?
– Was this truly an accident, or was it intentional?

Adding to the controversy, Kurtzleben quickly locked her social media accounts after the news broke, fueling speculation. Meanwhile, there are still no reports of the Secret Service questioning her or inspecting the equipment used during the incident.

With the press corps given close access to the President, security lapses like this are raising alarms. The American public deserves answers—was this a careless mistake, or something more deliberate?
