Sid Eudy, known in the wrestling world as Sid Vicious, Sycho Sid, and Sid Justice, has passed away at the age of 63. The former WWE superstar’s death was confirmed by his son, Gunnar Eudy, who shared the heartbreaking news on social media.

On Monday, Gunnar Eudy took to Facebook to announce his father’s death after a prolonged battle with cancer. “I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years,” Gunnar wrote. “He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed.”

He continued by expressing gratitude for the support they have received, stating, “We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a memorial service will be shared soon. Thank you for your support.”

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) also paid tribute to Sid Eudy on its official website, highlighting his significant impact on the sport. “Known as ‘The Master and Ruler of the World,’ Sid’s reputation as one of the toughest and most thrilling Superstars cemented his legacy in WWE, and his influence can still be seen in wrestling rings around the world,” the tribute read. The WWE extended its condolences to Eudy’s family, friends, and fans.

The wrestling community took to social media to mourn the loss of this iconic figure. Legendary wrestlers such as Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels shared their heartfelt condolences on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ric Flair reminisced about their final encounter: “So Sorry To Hear Of The Passing Of Sid Justice. The Last Time I Saw Him, We Hugged, He Called Me Champ, And I Said Thank You! He Has A Beautiful Family, And His Family Should Know That He Was Much…”

Shawn Michaels also honored Eudy, acknowledging his impact on his own career: “Saddened to learn of the passing of Sid Eudy. An unforgettable presence, and it can’t be overstated how big of a role he played in creating ‘The Heartbreak Kid’. His work, legacy, and influence will inspire our business for generations to come.”

Eudy’s career spanned over three decades, beginning in 1987 when he debuted as Lord Humongous. He quickly rose to fame, joining World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1989 before making his WWE debut as Sid Justice in 1991. Throughout his illustrious career, Eudy earned six world championships, including two WWE Championships and two WCW World Heavyweight Championships.
