Rep. Jasmine Crockett is not one to mince words, and her latest takedown of Donald Trump is making waves. When asked what she’d say to the former president, she didn’t hold back: “Grow a spine and stop being Putin’s ho.”
The Texas Democrat’s fiery remark came after Trump’s recent address to Congress, where he continued to show sympathy for Russian President Vladimir Putin while taking shots at Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy. With his administration halting aid to Ukraine, Crockett made it clear she sees Trump as siding with an authoritarian over a key U.S. ally.
Trump and Vice President JD Vance have repeatedly criticized Zelenskyy, even calling him “disrespectful” during his visit to Washington in February. Their stance has fueled outrage among critics who argue Trump is doing Putin’s bidding at the expense of democracy.
Crockett’s brutal commentary didn’t stop there. She also slammed Trump’s bizarre claim that the U.S. would “gain control over Greenland one way or the other,” calling it “really psychotic.” In an interview with MeidasTouch, she vented her frustration:
“Why are we fighting with Greenland? Why are we fighting with Canada and Mexico, yet in love with Putin? What is happening? This isn’t America. This is a nightmare. Somebody slap me and wake me the f* up.”**
Crockett’s fearless approach has made her a rising force in Congress, unafraid to take on Trump, Elon Musk, or anyone else trying to intimidate her. When asked if she felt threatened by their influence, her response was simple: “No.”
