Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is causing a stir worldwide. It has its advantages, but there are also some downsides. Even the American President, Joe Biden, experienced this firsthand while watching ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning’ with his Deputy White House Chief of Staff, Bruce Reed.

The President has encountered phony AI-generated images of himself before, but it’s not the pictures that bothered him the most. It’s the potential misuse of this technology that has raised a red flag for him.
In response to his concerns, President Biden issued an executive order on Monday. This order requires AI companies to share their safety test results with the U.S. government.
This move is crucial, given the changing world and the ongoing SAG-AFTRA situation in Hollywood, which falls into the same category. This issue has caused tension in discussions with the studios. According to Deadline, Deputy White House Chief of Staff Bruce Reed shared the President’s worries with the Associated Press.
One thing is clear: to realize the promise of AI and avoid the risk, we need to govern this technology. There’s no other way around it.

He witnessed fake AI images of himself, even of his dog. He also saw how AI can produce subpar poetry. Most significantly, he was alarmed by the incredible and frightening technology of voice cloning, which can take just three seconds of your voice and create an entire fake conversation.
Could this concern boost Joe Biden’s popularity among voters? Every decision he makes is critical, as it will determine whether he gets re-elected in 2024. While it remains uncertain if he will be the Democratic party’s candidate for the election, his actions will set the stage for the next presidential candidate from his party to build upon his effective decisions.

As for Donald Trump, he doesn’t have a say in this situation. It seems unlikely that he will enter the race if his indictment cases go against him. The former president is making every effort to join the race, but his past actions may hinder his journey. We’ll have to see if Trump finds fault with this executive order and addresses it in any of his upcoming rallies.
