Trump’s itinerary includes four events in North Carolina, a choice that has raised eyebrows. The local reaction has been mixed, with some residents chuckling at the campaign’s misspellings of city names, such as “Gronsboro” instead of Greensboro. Political insiders have begun to question the strategy behind investing so much time in North Carolina at this critical juncture.
Data from the University of Florida Election Lab indicates that more than 50% of North Carolina voters have already participated in early voting. Ammar Moussa, director of rapid response for Kamala Harris, pointed out Trump’s substantial focus on this state, suggesting that it reflects a sense of urgency within the campaign.
Matthew Gertz, a senior fellow at Media Matters for America, echoed these sentiments on social media, stating, “Sure seem worried about NC, at least one rally there each day.” Neal Kwatra, founder of Metropolitan Public Strategies, commented that this approach does not seem to broaden Trump’s campaign strategy effectively as the election nears.

While Trump is set to hold four rallies in North Carolina, he has only one scheduled for Michigan and none for Wisconsin.
